RAP FOR /th/ (voiced)

Practice the art of imitation. Imitate the rapping chorus that you hear. Pay attention to the th sound and the beats in the rap.The rap chorus exaggerates the sound, so you can gain control of your tongue. Practice with the tip of your tongue touching a lollipop and don't move it. Interdentals or sounds produced with the tongue between the teeth are new and strange for many students.

Remember you are trying to strengthen your ability to hear subtle changes. You are also practicing the art of imitation. In other words, listen carefully and try to duplicate the rhythm changes, the softer and louder variations, and the longer and shorter dynamics (speed changes) that you hear.

Remember to put your tongue between your teeth
and not behind your upper teeth.
