SENDING AN EMAIL

When you are finished recording and are ready to send your voice recording to the teacher, follow the procedure below.

Push the “Stop” button

Go to the “File” menu and select “Export as MP3 file.”

Select “Desktop” when exporting your MP3 file.

Now listen to your MP3 file from beginning to end to be sure it is a good recording.

Go to your email account and attach your file to the email before sending it.

Send your file to shelwyn_pronunciation@yahoo.com

Always put a subject line that is relevant to what you are sending. DO NOT use an old subject line when sending a new email. Type a new subject each time you send an email.

Be sure to send a proper email when submitting work in this class.

You email should say something like this:

Shelwyn,

Attached is my recording for the [name of assignment]. I have listened

to it to be sure it is a high quality recording and I have found no problems.

I have also checked to be sure the file format is MP3 and not AUP.

  Sincerely,

RULES FOR RECORDING IN THIS CLASS

CAUTION: Do not “Save” or “Save As” in Audacity because this will create an “AUP” file. An AUP file is useless as it contains no recording. I will receive a blank file, and you will receive a ZERO for the assignment. You will have to record the assignment over again to be sure you can export the correct file format, which is MP3.  You will only receive credit if an assignment is turned in using the proper format accompanied by a proper email.
